1 Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem. As he rode into the city on a donkey, his followers spread palm branches at his feet and called him “Hosanna” or “savior.” Palm branches were considered symbols of victory and triumph at the time.

2 He often used parables. A parable is a story told to illustrate a point. It is like a fable except that while a fable employs fantasy (The Tortoise and the Hare),a parable uses real-life situations (The Prodigal Son; The Good Samaritan)

      1. Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9), when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of Holy Week, the final week of Lent

      2. You are mistaken. Jesus never used a literary genre. He never wrote, nor caused to be written, one word. He preached his message verbally, using parables, primarily.

3.All four Gospels’ present Jesus a bit different. Matthew’s Jesus is Rabbi and teacher who is the promised Messiah. Mark’s Jesus is the one who overcomes the power of Satan and Evil in the World. Luke’s Jesus is the bringer of the Kingdom of God, the Church. John’s Jesus is the Word of God manifested as a person and later as the written Word.

All these identifications help readers to see Jesus in different facets.
