Teenage boy arrested for molesting a 4-year-old girl in Adamawa

The police in Adamawa State have arrested a 18-year-old boy, Ayuba Hamza, for allegedly molesting a four-year-old girl in Jabbi-lamba village, in the Girei LGA of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Nguroge, in a statement on Sunday, June 6, said the suspect was arrested on Friday, June 4, 2021.

The CP said the suspect took advantage of the baby following the seperation of her parents that brought her under the care and custody of her grandmother.

“Investigation reveals that the suspect being a close neighbour of the victim, committed the offence twice before he was caught. The grandmother who caught the suspect in the act, cried and attracted the attention of some neighbors which resulted in the suspect’s arrest by the police at Jabbi-lamba,” he added.
